The rolled pipe assortment consists of products produced by the following methods:
• hot rental;
• cold rolled;
• welding.
The method of hot rolling involves the sequential passage of three stages of production. First, the workpiece is heated and stitched. Next, rolling takes place on a special mill to obtain a hollow product with the specified parameters. The final stage is the elimination of defects and bringing the pipe to the desired characteristics.
By the method of cold rolled metal pipes are manufactured in two stages. The first stage is completely similar to the first stage of hot rolling. But the subsequent formation of the product is carried out on a cold mill by step-by-step deformation of the workpiece when passing through special calibers.
Welded products are pipes made from strips by electric welding.
In this regard, pipe metal products are represented by seamless products (made by hot or cold rolling), as well as pipes with a straight seam and a seam in the form of a spiral.
The scope of application is very extensive and directly depends on the product class:
Class 1 – standard type pipes. They are used under normal conditions without increased requirements. Such products are in demand in the manufacture of fences, supports, scaffolding.
Class 2 – most often used for the transportation of liquids and gases.
Class 3 – can be operated under pressure and under the influence of high temperatures.
Class 4 – often used as elements of a drilling rig in the exploration of new fields.
Class 5 is widely used in the automotive industry, car building, when creating drilling rigs and overhead cranes.
Class 6 – in demand for the needs of the machine-building industry.
