During the construction of residential buildings and other premises in which reinforced concrete structures are used, certain rules must be observed, if the ultimate goal is the construction of solid and reliable buildings, the following rules must be observed: – For foundations. In these designs, the minimum diameter indicator is 10 mm, while the maximum indicator is not limited anywhere. The optimal value is considered to be from 10 to 16 mm. – For columns. The maximum allowable diameter is 36 mm. The lower limit of the diameter of the railway columns has an indicator of 14 mm. The specific weight of the reinforcement itself, located in the column, should be at least 10%, in the beams – at least 8%. The smallest number of working rods is 4. – For beams. Such products must have a minimum diameter of at least 12 mm. The maximum permissible diameter can reach 32 mm. The optimal value is considered to be a range of 12-20 mm. All of the above diameter indicators relate to coatings, ceilings, railway beams, etc.
One of the most important indicators of the quality (tensile strength) of rebar rolled products is its class. It is indicated by the Latin letters A and B. Rolled metal products marked under these classes must meet all modern standards and have the necessary threshold values of plasticity, cold resistance, yield strength, weldability, etc. Class A240 is used in the construction of reinforced concrete structures. In addition, products of class A200/300/400 and B500 are often used in the construction of railway structures. Fittings having the above classes are usually attributed to the periodic profile (has longitudinal ribs and transverse protrusions).
